I am not sure about the colour version of the last shot for instance, I think I prefer the black and white version. I do like the painting like quality of the images, however, there is always the argument of - why didn't you just paint it and not use a camera..... Have to use a tripod though as I'd look silly on the course without one ;-) - seriously, I think with things like these trees you need to make sure that teh movement is linear in their direction, which I could only guarantee with a tripod. Let's not forget this set of 7 is out of a total of 30 - so didn't need to throw a huge lot. Will check out your 500px lot. The actual image will be a bit later in the post. It makes no real sense if you just post one image in a blog - but it would do if you had a bit more to write and show.... Picture 1 is defo a crop of picture 2 yet the proportion of picture 2 is not natural at all. the width of picture 2 is the same as pic 1 yet the height is nearly 50% more in pic 2 . Alex ,

With a camera you can shoot it yet still watch it bend with the breeze.
